Journeyman → Master (Class A)
Hold the MA journeyman license, add 1 year of experience and the 150-hour Board-approved master program, then pass the Class A exam ($276 total; $210 Valor).
Systems (low-voltage) ladder
The low-voltage track needs 300 education hours + the 15-hour code update + 4,000 hours over at least 2 years ($226); Systems Contractor adds 1 year + 75 hours ($276).
Reciprocity: New Hampshire only
Massachusetts reciprocates ONLY with New Hampshire, journeyman and master, and only for licenses obtained BY EXAM in NH — journeyman $208, master $310 (237 CMR 15.02). A reciprocal master must also complete the MA 150-hour master program. Everyone else qualifies through the standard education + hours routes.
