Editorial Policy

Sourcing rules

• Official sources only for licensing facts. State licensing boards, state statutes and administrative codes, and federal agencies (EPA, BLS, NCES). Aggregators, competitors and forums are never sources for a figure.
• Every record is dated. Each state page shows when we verified it and links the pages we read.
• Absence is stated, not papered over. If a state has no license for a trade, the page says so and explains the local-licensing reality. If we haven't verified a state, it isn't published.
• Figures we can't confirm are omitted — the page points to the official application instead.

Update policy

Licensing rules change on legislative and board-rule cycles. We re-verify records in tranches and update the stamp date when we do. If you find something out of date, email hello@tradelicensemap.com — corrections ship ahead of new content.

Advertising

The site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense). Ads never appear above the answer, never influence which states or routes we show, and no school, course or "partner" is ever recommended for compensation. We currently have no lead-generation or referral relationships with any school.
